 The Mursi live in southern Ethiopia along the Omo river valley. We fly into the capital Addis Ababa. The SIM Headquarters is located here. We then travel the 830 km (by road) south to the Omo valley. Currently flying commercial to Jinka which is the closest town and then hiring a vehicle (and driver) to take us the last leg. This is about 20km by crow and 60km by road. It normally takes about 6 hours (but could be anywhere between 4 and 14 hours) this gives you an idea of the road condition.
